True Lifecycle Cost of a Resistance Temperature Detector

چکیده

Introduction When selecting a resistance temperature detector (RTD), it is important to understand the downstream costs that can be avoided or minimized by aligning the RTD capability with the process conditions. In this paper we will examine RTD selection criteria for accuracy and operating performance that best aligns with the process conditions, expectations, and installation, for lowest lifecycle cost.

Design, Fabrication and Sensitivity Analysis of the Resistance Temperature Detector Thin Film Sensors

Thin film heat transfer sensors are most cost effective resistance temperature detector (RTD) sensors for dynamic temperature measurements mainly because of very fast response time (milliseconds or less). These sensors are prepared by deposited high conducting very sensitive gauge material (platinum/nickel/silver) on the insulating surface (pyrex/macor/quartz). The purpose of this work is to fa...

Resistance Temperature Detector Sensor with a Copper Pattern on the Printed Circuit Board

A biochip can obtain various types of genetic information over a short period of time and enable genetic analysis. A biochip needs temperature sensors to measure temperature. A resistance temperature detector temperature sensor chip, made of copper using a printed circuit board, was introduced in this study. A printed circuit board is readily usable for copper pattern design for the substrate o...

Session 1359 Metrology Experiment for Engineering Students: Platinum Resistance Temperature Detector

This paper describes the use of a platinum resistance temperature detector to develop a calibration experiment and to introduce metrology principles. The Callender-Van Dusen equation is used to analyze the temperature-resistance characteristic of a detector. Linearity of this characteristic is explored using a MATLAB simulation. Resistance is measured at four different temperatures to estimate ...

Temperature-dependent asymmetry of the nonlocal spin-injection resistance: evidence for spin nonconserving interface scattering.

We report nonlocal spin injection and detection experiments on mesoscopic Co-Al2O3-Cu spin valves. We have observed a temperature-dependent asymmetry in the nonlocal resistance between parallel and antiparallel configurations of the magnetic injector and detector. This strongly supports the existence of a nonequilibrium resistance that depends on the relative orientation of the detector magneti...

Prediction of true critical temperature and pressure of binary hydrocarbon mixtures: A Comparison between the artificial neural networks and the support vector machine

Two main objectives have been considered in this paper: providing a good model to predict the critical temperature and pressure of binary hydrocarbon mixtures, and comparing the efficiency of the artificial neural network algorithms and the support vector regression as two commonly used soft computing methods. In order to have a fair comparison and to achieve the highest efficiency, a comprehen...
